S890QL is a structural steel grade with an even greater yield strength than S690QL and 130 ksi minimum yield point, it combines strength with excellent weldability and formability.The material serves as a great option for procurer who wish to promote high strength in a cost effective way. Due to the characteristics of the steel, clients can use this material in numerous application resulting in a leaner build whilst still maintaining great strength. S890QL is a water quenched & tempered steel which complies with the EN 10025:6:2004 specification. It is relatively easy welding and fabricate. It has becoming more and more popular in crane, oil and gas, mining, earthmoving, agricultural, trailers, theme park, bridge building, extreme weather search and rescue industries and modern super structural design where light weight and leaner thickness steel plate with increase payload capacity. Today, beautiful high-rice buildings and super architectural design art has became reality because of the discovery of S890QL steel plate. S890 steel plate meets design and fabrication challenges for modern heavy equipment such as heavy haul trailers, cranes booms, truck frames and logging & construction equipment as well as design fabrications that exceed the capabilities of S690. S890 offers design opportunities for weight reduction and increased payload and is more user friendly for todays modern fabrication methods.

The tolerances for this EN specification can be found in EN-10029 and EN-10064. Typical thickness ranges are from 3/16 (5mm) to 4 (100mm) thick.
